Successful EDA Freeze 3 Interoperability Testing at SEMI Standards Meetings

At SEMI’s North America Standards Fall Meetings, Agileo Automation achieved a major milestone by successfully validating interoperability for the SEMI EDA Freeze 3 standards suite. Represented by CTO Olivier Vittu, Director of Product Innovation Fahad Golra, and Software Engineer Julien Bermont, our team participated in collaborative testing sessions at SEMI HQ (Milpitas, CA) with key semiconductor software vendors and OEMs. The tests confirmed seamless operation of core EDA Freeze 3 functionalities, including gRPC metadata usage, security administration, and Data Collection Plan management. By replacing SOAP/XML with gRPC, EDA Freeze 3 delivers lower latency and significantly higher data throughput, supporting the performance demands of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing.

In response to these successful results, Agileo will extend its A²ECF-SEMI automation framework, including Agil’GEM and Agil’GEM300, to support EDA Freeze 3. This will enable equipment manufacturers to deliver AI-ready, structured, high-bandwidth data to fabs, accelerating yield optimization and data-driven process control.
