Onto Innovation: Remote tool integration into GEM300-based production line

Onto Innovation, a leading U.S. designer of industrial solutions for semiconductor manufacturers, called upon Agileo Automation’s assistance to integrate a new metrology tool into an automated production line built to GEM300 standards. At the time in 2020, the company was facing three key challenges: Very tight deadlines, the global Covid pandemic, as well as a lack of internal GEM300 knowledge. The Agileo team provided simulation tests on digital twins to turn the project around within the deadlines and was able to deliver the integration of Onto Innovation’s metrology tool into its production line remotely thanks to its extensive GEM300 expertise.
